Double Smash Salad Wrapped Burger

This keto burger is a wonderful twist on the classic burger. It swaps out the traditional bun for fresh, crisp iceberg lettuce, making it a healthier, low-carb alternative.

  • 180g ground beef
  • 3 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 3 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1 pickle
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour cream
  • Mustard
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Pickle juice
  • Sriracha

  1. Prep your lettuce. Tear 3 whole leaves, wash and dry them. Fold one up for the “bottom” and one for the top. Use the third as padding.
  2. Slice your tomato, onion, and pickle.
  3. Form the beef into two balls and season with salt and pepper.
  4. For the sauce, combine equal parts mayonnaise and sour cream. Add a dash of pickle juice or jalapeno juice, a dash of mustard, and Sriracha or hot sauce. Mix well and set aside.
  5. Build your burger with foil at the bottom of your plate, then one of the lettuce buns. Add your toppings.
  6. Heat a pan and add butter. Smash the beef balls down in the hot pan and be ready to turn them quickly. Apply mustard before flipping. Then add cheese and get ready to serve.
