Breakdown of Ingredients and Average Carb Content

Let’s explore the nutritional benefits and the low-carb profile of our main ingredients, making this dish a perfect fit for a keto-friendly lifestyle:

  • Shrimp: Virtually carb-free and packed with protein, shrimp is a great seafood option for keto diets.
  • Avocado: Rich in healthy fats, fiber, and containing a minimal amount of net carbs (about 2g per 100g), avocados are keto superfoods.
  • Romaine or Butter Lettuce: Both are low in carbs, with romaine containing about 1.5g of carbs per 100g, and butter lettuce slightly less, making them ideal for wraps.
  • Limes: While fruits are often limited on a keto diet, the juice of a lime has only about 1.1g of carbs per tablespoon, adding a burst of flavor without the carb load.
  • Spices and Herbs: Cumin, paprika, garlic, and cilantro add depth and complexity to the dish without contributing significant carbs.

Total carbs for the recipe are minimal, primarily coming from the avocado and lime juice, making these wraps an excellent choice for those monitoring their carbohydrate intake.
