Toss to lightly coat apples with lemon juice and then the cinnamon.
Spread apples into baking dish.
Heat maple syrup and butter in the microwave for 30 seconds until melted. Stir to mix thoroughly.
In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, oats, crushed walnuts, cinnamon, salt, maple syrup and butter until oats are moist and the mixture is clumpy.
Spoon over apples.
Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Using a peeler/slicer will save a lot of time and well worth the small investment if you don't already have one! I love a big scoop of Breyer's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or a vanilla frozen yogurt on top of fresh out of the oven apple crisp!
